Local elections were held recently in Gaza. The bad news is that Hamas made out like a bandit, capturing about two-thirds of offices at all levels available. The moderately good news is that local pollsters seem to be of the consensus that voters were mostly voting for their pocketbooks, not terrorist bombings.
