Published by Warrior Tang May 27th, 2005 in US Politics- For more on the “Downing Street memo”, here’s an article in the New York Review of Books detailing what it means and tying it to historical events.
- Governor Schwarzenegger has a pothole dug in a road so he can be filmed filling it in. He could have just come further north to Petaluma where there are plenty of potholes already in the road that they’d be glad to have someone fill.
- The British Association of University Teachers has cancelled their boycott of Israeli universities.
- Ohio invests $50 million in rare coins. $12 million disappears.
- Montana’s governor vetoed four bills.
- And via BoingBoing some fun: easter eggs in Star Wars 3 and puns on the concept of “Darth Tater”.
Not that it necessarily does anything, but John Conyers’s website has a petition re: the Downing St. memo: http://www.johnconyers.com.
And nice Darth Tater stuff… I just showed a friend the “Store Wars” bit. :)
